  • Water – 250 ml
  • Egg for brushing puff pastries
  • Powdered sugar for sprinkling

How to make fruit puffs:

Wash the apple and pear, cut each fruit into 4 parts, carefully remove the inedible part. Cut each quarter into thin slices.

Bring the water to a boil, add sugar (you can also add lemon juice to prevent the fruit from darkening), place the chopped apple and pear slices into the water, cook for a couple of minutes, the fruit should become soft.

Place the boiled fruit slices on a paper towel to drain off excess liquid.

There is no need to boil persimmons and kiwis, they need to be washed, cut into quarters, seeds removed from the persimmons, if any, cut into thin slices (kiwis should be peeled first).

Defrost the dough, roll it into a thin layer (about 1-1.5 mm), cut into strips 3 cm wide. My dough consists of 2 layers, I rolled out each layer and cut it into 4-5 strips.

Each strip can be divided in half to create more roses. Now place the prepared fruit slices overlapping each strip. The fruit should protrude about 1/3 of the way above the dough. I made several strips each with apples, pears, persimmons, kiwis and assorted fruits.


Now carefully wrap each fruit strip into a tube. Fold the bottom edges of the dough slightly inward.


Place the resulting fruit roses on a baking tray lined with baking paper, brush the dough with beaten egg and bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees. oven for about 30 minutes.
