Clean the cooled carcass: remove the fins, entrails, and scrape off the scales. Cut the fish into steaks 1.5-2 cm thick.

Add a little vegetable oil to a baking dish and add the cod pieces.

Sprinkle the fish with spices and salt to taste.

Spread with mayonnaise (a very thin layer). Leave the fish to marinate for 20-30 minutes. Chop dill (or other herbs) and sprinkle on steaks.
