Lazy stuffed turkey cabbage rolls. To prepare we need
Cabbage, one of the few available healthy vegetables at this time of year, but getting the little ones to eat it is not an easy task. That is why I offer you a recipe for lazy cabbage rolls, in which the cabbage is neither felt nor visible, but the vitamins “jump” throughout the dish!
To prepare we will need:
-1 kg of ground turkey (you can use minced pork and beef);
- 100 g short grain rice (raw);
- onions - 4 pcs (medium);
- carrots - 2 pcs;
- white cabbage- 400 g;
- salt - 2 teaspoons;
- ground black pepper - ¼ teaspoon;
- fresh dill - 4-5 sprigs;
- sunflower oil - 60 ml;
- butter- 50 g.
Let's start by preparing the frying, which we will also need in the minced meat and will serve as a vegetable pillow for the lazy cabbage rolls. To do this, cut the onion into cubes and carrots into strips. Pour sunflower oil into the frying pan, wait a bit until it warms up, and add the onion. After steaming it a little, add carrots to it. Let it all sit for about 5 minutes, then pour it into a suitable container and let the vegetables cool.
Then we move on to cooking the rice. After thoroughly rinsing it with cold water, put it on the fire (the water should be a finger higher than the rice) and boil it a little, literally 5 minutes of boiling, after which we put it on a sieve and rinse again with cold water.
Let's start preparing the minced meat. To do this, grind the turkey meat in a meat grinder and set it aside. We take the cabbage and also grind it in a meat grinder, but we don’t immediately add it to the meat, but place it in a separate container, since we need to squeeze out the excess liquid from it. Now, after squeezing out the water, combine the meat, cabbage and half of the roast. Mix everything very well so that the ingredients combine with each other and add butter room temperature. Mix well and add 2 teaspoons of salt and ¼ teaspoon of pepper. Mix well again, then add rice and finely chopped herbs (if you don’t have any on hand, you can do without it). The final and most important mixing))) and we move on to beating the minced meat.
This is such a handsome guy we have
Cover the finished minced meat cling film and place in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
In the meantime, take a saucepan (2.5-3 l) and fill it three-quarters with water and put it on the fire. While the water is boiling, we form the lazy cabbage rolls. To prevent the minced meat from sticking to your hands, wet them with cold water.
Place in a baking dish vegetable pillow from the remaining roast.
Place the cabbage rolls one by one into boiling water for 30 seconds, first placing them on a slotted spoon so that you can quickly place them two at a time.
And put them in a baking dish. You can top the cabbage rolls with either gravy or sour cream, depending on the culinary preferences of your household.
Cover the pan with foil and place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and leave the cabbage rolls until golden brown.
When our lazy cabbage rolls turn golden, we take them out and delight our loved ones!
Bon appetit!
Hello my friends and readers!
I really like eating cabbage rolls, but I don’t really like messing with them.
As a simplified version, I sometimes make lazy cabbage rolls.
The effort is minimal, and the taste is almost the same. I don’t make cutlets or meatballs from cabbage rolls and don’t even boil rice.
I always make minced meat myself; I don’t use store-bought stuff.
So, our products.
I chop the onion finely and put it in a stew, after pouring a little vegetable oil on the bottom.
Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
Winter cabbage has thick leaves, so you need to cut it thinner so that it has time to be ready no later than rice and minced meat.
I place all the ingredients in the stew.
I take 150 grams of rice.
I rinse until clean and add to the vegetables.
Today I'm using turkey breast fillet for minced meat.
Minced meat also goes to the previous ingredients.
Now I add 0.5 liters of water (I add warm boiled water), lightly salt and pepper.
I close the lid and put it on the stove.
After 5 minutes, when the water warms up, I carefully stir the contents.
I close the lid again and for about 40 minutes you can forget about the “stuffed cabbage rolls”.
During this time, the rice will absorb almost all the liquid, the cabbage and minced meat will be ready.
The final touch remains.
I add 3 tablespoons of ketchup (you can tomato paste) and sour cream. The fat content of sour cream is not important to me. Today there was 15% sour cream.
I taste the salt and add if necessary.
Lazy cabbage rolls They cook much faster than traditional ones, and, in my opinion, they taste much tastier. I especially advise those mothers whose children do not eat vegetables well to try preparing them. There are a lot of vegetables in lazy cabbage rolls, but if you chop them up, children may not notice, mistaking lazy cabbage rolls for ordinary cutlets. A multicooker will simplify the cooking process. In any case, I advise you to try this option for variety.
Here's another recipe for low-calorie lazy cabbage rolls.

3. Wash the cabbage, cut and chop using a meat grinder, processor or blender.
4. Pour the cabbage into a deep bowl.
5. Add coarse minced turkey, boiled rice and stewed vegetables. Mix well.
6. Salt and sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper. Add eggs and mix everything well again. Check whether the resulting mass can be used to make cabbage rolls. If it doesn't work, add another egg.
7. Wet your hands with cold water to prevent the minced meat from sticking. Stick on lazy cabbage rolls of the desired size. Grease the bottom of the multicooker vegetable oil. Place cabbage rolls in one layer, pour half a glass of water on top. Turn on the stewing program for 1 hour. If the cabbage rolls are laid out in several layers, the time can be increased by 20 minutes.
8. Ready cabbage rolls can be served without a side dish or with fresh vegetables. Bon appetit!!!
