Choosing the right watermelon ─ it was a whole ritual! The watermelon is cut into 2 halves, and our expectations were justified! Before us is bright, juicy pulp with ripe dark seeds. And the aroma! Such a fresh and at the same time unique aroma exuded from that watermelon!

My dad, who was simply known as a “walking encyclopedia,” cut this berry into smooth, beautiful triangles and said: “Now we will clean the kidneys!”

This is true, watermelon helps remove all kinds of toxins and everything harmful from the body. In addition, 200 grams of pulp contains the daily intake of magnesium, amino acids, vitamins and antioxidants.

Sweetness ─ children's joy!

Of course, in my childhood we did not yet know such inventions as smoothies or fresh juices, but simply ate sweet slices, picking out the seeds from them with a fork.

But nevertheless, fresh watermelon is the same healthy pulp, only already peeled from the seeds and poured into glasses, glasses and mugs.

You can take this fresh juice with you in a glass with a lid and a straw for a walk around the city or park. Or offer it to your guests! A real bright table decoration!

I do not make fresh watermelon with any additives such as sugar, honey, cinnamon, etc.

The resulting pulp must be strained through a very fine sieve. We need watermelon water! We will use it to make fresh ice. You won't get too much water through a fine sieve. Just enough to fill one standard ice tray. And 1 liter of watermelon pulp remains.

Pour the prepared fresh watermelon into a container and decorate the top with fresh mint leaves.

You can wait watermelon ice to put a couple of cubes in the finished fresh juice, or use it for next time!

At this stage, you can optionally replace sugar with honey if you are not allergic to it, and add fresh mint leaves. Lemon juice or a couple of pinches fits especially perfectly into the recipe. citric acid– they emphasize the sweetness of the watermelon itself, but their addition is purely to your taste.

3. Pour the prepared drink into tall glasses or cocktail glasses. If you like chilled fresh juice, place it in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes before pouring into containers, or add ice to glasses.

Serve fresh watermelon to the table with straws, the holes in which should be wide so that they allow the crushed pulp to pass through. Don't forget to garnish the drink with fresh mint leaves.

1. Fresh juice can turn out very thick, depending on the type and ripeness of the fruit chosen. Then you won’t be able to pull it through the straw: instead of a civilized drink, the result will be indecent squelching and grunting. In this case, the tall, thin glasses will have to be set aside and the drink served in short, thick-walled ones - like for whiskey. Each is equipped with a small spoon with a long handle, intended for desserts. If watermelon juice with pulp, on the contrary, is liquid, the so-called Irish glass - a cone-shaped transparent cup - will serve as a serving container for it. Usually these are used to drink Irish coffee, ice or latte. Although such dishes look like a wine glass, they are equipped with a handle - this is convenient.

Watermelon-melon fresh

The best partner of watermelon during the “velvet season” is melon. We decided to mix the juice of both fruits for this recipe and it turned out delicious.

Prepare equal portions of melon and watermelon pulp, remove all seeds from the latter. Place the prepared fruits in a blender bowl and blend until smooth. Dilute the finished puree with ice water or pieces of ice, and if the sweetness of melon and watermelon is not enough, add honey.

How to make frozen watermelon juice?

Cut out the juicy pulp from half a watermelon and remove the seeds from it, placing it in a deep container.

Let's also add honey: buckwheat, flower, etc., and fresh mint leaves. If you are allergic to honey, then replace it with a few teaspoons of granulated sugar. Also, if you wish, you can add about 0.5 tsp. lemon juice.

Using an immersion blender at low speed, carefully grind the watermelon pulp, turning it into a smoothie, or rather, into fresh juice.

Pour fresh watermelon from a blender into serving glasses or cocktail glasses. If you want to remove almost all the pulp, then additionally place a strainer with a double layer of gauze on each glass and strain the fresh juice - you will get real watermelon juice.

Lime or lemon

Of course, we can use lemon, but lime has a more pronounced sourness. Watermelon, especially sweet and ripe, goes perfectly with it.

For 400 g of pulp we need 1 tbsp. citrus juice.

  • Combine everything in a blender with or without ice and beat for no more than a minute. This way we can maintain the slightly grainy texture of the drink. You can enhance it by adding ice from a shaker.

Serve this cocktail with two straws, garnishing the glass with a slice of lime or lemon.

Orange

A similar option can be prepared with orange. Do not forget that this citrus is much sweeter, so in this case we will need at least 5-6 tbsp for 400-500 g of pulp. juice It can be squeezed out of a juicer, or manually.

If you don’t want to mess around at all, we can add 4-5 slices of peeled orange directly to the blender bowl for this amount of watermelon. But it is still better to remove the largest films so that they do not end up in the finished drink.

An incredibly tasty drink is made from the pulp of ripe berries with the addition of ice cream.
